Is the Health Check really free?
Yes. The Health Check is a free, no-obligation photo-by-photo report of your home's exterior condition. You keep the report whether or not you hire us — there's no high-pressure sales call attached.
How long does an exterior paint job take?
Most single-family exteriors take three to six working days, depending on size, prep, and weather. We give you a realistic window up front and keep you updated daily — we don't disappear mid-job.
What warranty do you offer?
Every job carries a 7-year workmanship warranty in writing. If our application fails within that window, we come back and make it right at no cost to you.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Prime South is a licensed Louisiana Residential Contractor (RL 7448) and carries general liability, workers' compensation, and errors & omissions coverage. We're happy to provide certificates on request.
Why does paint fail faster on the Gulf Coast?
Humidity, salt air, and intense sun break down coatings and feed mildew far faster than in drier climates. We spec coastal-grade products and prep specifically for Louisiana conditions, which is what makes a job last.
How much will my project cost?
Every quote is fixed-price and built around your specific home — we don't publish flat per-square-foot pricing because no two homes prep the same. After the Health Check you get a clear, itemized scope before any work begins.
Do you repair rotted wood before painting?
Always. Painting over soft or rotted wood just hides the problem. We inspect for rot and moisture, replace failed boards and trim, then seal and prime before any finish coat goes on.
What prep is included before painting?
Soft-wash cleaning, mildew and chalk removal, scraping, sanding, caulking, priming, and protecting your landscaping and surfaces. Prep is the single biggest factor in how long a paint job lasts, so we never cut it short.
Can I see colors on my actual house first?
Yes — our Color Visualizer renders real paint colors onto a photo of your home in under a minute, and we'll bring physical samples before you commit. Digital renders are approximations; final sheen and color are confirmed on site.
Which areas do you serve?
We're based in Slidell and serve the North Shore and St. Tammany Parish — including Mandeville, Covington, Madisonville, Abita Springs, Pearl River, Lacombe, and Picayune — within about a 25-mile radius.
