Phillip Gonzalez, Owner
Born and raised on the north shore. I started Prime South because I was tired of watching my neighbors pay for paint jobs that didn't survive a single Louisiana summer. We do this the right way — or we don't do it at all.
My story
I spent years painting under other contractors before going out on my own. I saw both ends — the crews that took shortcuts on prep and called it a day, and the ones who treated every house like it was their own grandmother's. I started Prime South to be the second kind, full stop.
Slidell is home. I'm raising my family here, my kids go to school here, and I'm going to see you at the grocery store. That accountability matters — it's why every Prime South job is documented, warrantied, and signed off in person.
My philosophy
- ✦Honesty before sales. If your siding doesn't need painting yet, I'll tell you. If it needs more than paint, I'll tell you that too.
- ✦Prep is the job. The paint is the easy part. Prep is what decides if it lasts.
- ✦Document everything. Photo before, photo after, written scope, signed walkthrough. No "he said, she said."
- ✦Treat your home like ours. Tidy site, no music blaring, respectful crew, plants and pets accounted for.
